Orthodontic treatment is an excellent investment in the overall dental, medical and psychological wellbeing of children and adults. The cost of braces or Invisalign treatment varies greatly and depends on the severity of the problem and the time it takes to correct it. The type of braces chosen (i.e. metal, clear or Invisalign®) will also affect the cost of your orthodontic treatment. We are committed to making orthodontics available to all those in need of care.
We have partnered with OrthoFi which provides our families with the most flexible financing available. Patients (or the financially responsible party) can select the down payment and monthly payment terms that best suit their personal finances. In addition, OrthoFi allows patients access to their orthodontic financials at any time, via the secure website. We are happy to offer this service to our orthodontic family. The OrthoFi link will take you to our secure portal for management of all of your Contact Information, Medical History, Financial Information, and Insurance Information.
If you or a member of your family has insurance that covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. This makes the cost of braces significantly lower to you, the patient. Because insurance policies vary, we will review your specific insurance to determine the appropriate course of action. As a benefit to our families, once orthodontic treatment has started, we will file your claims with your insurance company.
To help us more accurately determine your benefits, a member of our team may ask you for detailed information that is usually found on your insurance card prior to your initial consultation. We will do our best to maximize your orthodontic benefits based on your particular policy.
If, during the course of treatment, your insurance benefits change, please contact us as soon as possible. While we are happy to submit your claims to your new insurance carrier, if benefits are lost, the financially responsible party becomes responsible for any balance due.
Our goal is to provide our patients with the financing flexibility necessary to make the significant investment in your best smile. While a good smile can open doors, we believe that the Sheffield Smile has the potential to change lives.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Many corporations allow their employees to withhold pre-tax dollars to pay for out of pocket medical or dental expenses. Did you know this includes orthodontic treatment? Most annual elections are made during enrollment periods in November. What a great way to budget for an amazing Sheffield Smile.
